Why a hospitality fee?

Every order includes a Hospitality Fee totaling 15% AT (after taxes), and all applicable sales taxes are included. This fee ensures that all staff are hired in at a minimum of $15/hr, have access to company-sponsored health insurance, paid sick leave, paid parental leave, and other benefits. 

This Hospitality Fee does not supplement the traditional tip or gratuity, it replaces it.

You'll notice we've eliminated the option to tip on our receipts, registers, and online ordering. While we no longer accept credit card tips, should you feel like leaving a tip, we graciously accept cash tips and split them evenly amongst all staff on shift.

Rather than chasing our tails trying to raise prices on certain items and potentially negatively affecting one guest's favorite and not others, we are spreading the love and implementing a Hospitality Fee to all tickets. There are of course other options, to reduce costs by using lower quality ingredients and moving away from local producers, but that is not who we are.

We announced this exciting news on our Social Media pages on May 1st, 2020. We were overwhelmed by the positive responses we saw from both our Lawrence and Topeka communities!
